Research Summary

My research focuses on the digital transformation of neurological rehabilitation through the Rehabilitation 4.0 and 5.0, a comprehensive architecture that applies Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolution technologies to improve patient care and outcomes.

My work explores how biomechanics, cyber-physical systems, artificial intelligence, robotics, wearable sensors, brain-computer interfaces and immersive technologies can create seamlessly connected rehabilitation ecosystems across clinic, home and community settings.

I investigate personalised, data-driven approaches that leverage real-time monitoring, predictive analytics and explainable AI to optimise treatment decisions, while addressing critical challenges in interoperability, health equity, environmental sustainability and regulatory pathways for digital therapeutics.

This interdisciplinary research brings together clinicians, engineers, data scientists and patients to develop evidence-based innovations that enable precision rehabilitation, continuous longitudinal support and value-based care delivery, ultimately transforming how neurological conditions are treated in the digital age.
